Overall Score

ORAÉ® is a low-carbon float glass developed by Saint-Gobain Glass using a modified float manufacturing process with increased recycled cullet content and reduced fossil fuel energy. The glass is intended for architectural glazing applications including façades, windows and further processed glass products such as laminated or insulating glass units. It is compatible with standard downstream processing and glazing systems. Performance characteristics such as strength, fire behaviour and acoustic properties depend on final configuration and processing rather than the base glass. ORAÉ® maintains the visual clarity and durability expected of conventional float glass while reducing embodied carbon at the production stage. The product supports circularity through established glass recycling schemes. Manufacturing is carried out in European float glass plants, with distribution across the UK and Europe, supported by Saint-Gobain’s environmental declarations and closed-loop recycling infrastructure.
