Overall Score

Knauf Wallboard 12.5 mm is manufactured using a continuous process in which gypsum and other minerals are mixed with water and minor additives to form a slurry that is sandwiched between paper liners and dried into rigid boards. It is intended for standard drylining applications, including internal partitions, wall linings, and ceilings in residential and non residential buildings. The board provides stable performance for normal internal environments, with a declared reference service life of 60 years when correctly installed. It is designed to be used as part of Knauf drywall systems and finished with jointing compounds and decorative coatings. The product has a smooth paper faced surface suitable for direct finishing and integration with metal or timber framing systems. As a gypsum based board, it is non structural, dimensionally stable in dry conditions, and easy to cut and install on site. The product is manufactured in the United Kingdom and supplied in multiple board sizes. Environmental performance is documented through a third party verified Environmental Product Declaration to EN 15804, including end of life scenarios for landfill and recycling, but without declared indoor air emissions or fire reaction classification.
